Sophia Papacosta is a visual artist based in Athens. She studied Fine Arts at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and gained a MA in Sequential Design & Illustration from the University of Brighton. Her work has been exhibited in Greece and abroad. She was a workshop leader at the “1st Experimental Lighting Workshop” in Athens 2011, and part of the teaching staff at the International Lighting Design Workshop “Rething the Night” in 2018. In 2017-2018 she was teaching Visual Communication at the Department of Architecture at the University of Patras.

Η Σοφία Παπακώστα γεννήθηκε στη Λευκωσία το 1985. Σπούδασε Ζωγραφική στη Σχολή Καλών Τεχνών του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης στο Τμήμα Εικαστικών και Εφαρμοσμένων Τεχνών και Sequential Design & Illustration (Master of Arts) στο University of Brighton.
Έχει παρουσιάσει έργα της σε ομαδικές και ατομικές εκθέσεις στην Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό.
Ζει και εργάζεται στην Αθήνα.
